Winter's release.....
Spring has arrived (late) in Banff, Canada. After what has been one of the best snow seasons in ten years, the sun is finally beaming and it just makes you want to do stuff - like take a drive through the Rockies to Jasper, get your hiking shoes out and update the travel blog! Although, since our housemate’s recent wolf experience down near the Bow River, its a reminder that other animals...

Bluff, Utah
We stayed in Bluff on our way to Monument Valley (from the Rockies). You’d think being the gateway to such a tourist spot it would be reasonably large. No. This place is tiny. One coffee shop, a couple of art studios as being well immersed in the desert environment seems to inspire people - but all I saw were rocks and more rocks. So when we reached Bluff I was (I have to admit it) a little...

The Rockies
As you can see from the photos - The Rocky Mountains are amazing. They stretch all the way from British Columbia in Canada down to New Mexico. The cool thing about Estes is that there a full rivers running all...

Kansas City Art Gallery
One of the best art galleries I’ve been to. Let’s face it - its mostly because of the the giant shuttlecocks on the lawns within the gallery grounds. Awesome look against the more refined, classic main building; talk about Art making heads turn! Apparently there was a lot of controversy over these sculptures but I think they areĀ fabulous. I would go back just to sit on the stairs...

A trip to Unity Villiage
We took a trip out to the Unity Villiage (about 20 minutes from Overland Park, KC) with some family who attend Unity Church in Minesotta. I had never even heard of Unity Church before now, although it has quite a following (I couldn’t find an estimate of numbers on their main website but there are Unity Churches throughout the entire US and internationally). When we first parked at the...

My first post - welcome to Kansas
This is my first EVER blog/post. I have pretty much no idea what i’m doing but so far going with the flow seems to be working as I have reached the text page! We have been in Kansas for one week. I have finally been relieved of the travel bug people DON’T tell you about - which I think I caught from the aeroplane food. Today is the first day I actually feel hungry, and don’t feel...
